(Direct Current)DC Fast Chargers: These are the fastest, and usually have options of 50 kW, 100 kW, and sometimes up to 150 kW. Higher kW means you can charge your EV faster. So, look for fast charging stations which provide minimum 50 kW.
2. Depend on Location (Location Matters)
There are more fast-charging stations in major cities and highways. In some big cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, and Pune you will get many options. There are many stations on the highway which are convenient for fast charging between journeys. But in some places there are still charging stations but they still do not provide electricity.
3. How to Check Cost Per kWh (Checking the Rate per kWh)
The rate is different for each station, and it is charged on the basis of kWh. Example: A fast charging station's rate can range from ₹18-₹25 per kWh, depending on speed and location.
With apps like PlugShare, Tata Power EZ Charge, and Statiq app, you can check charges and reviews of nearby stations.
4. Some Reliable Charging Networks
Tata Power EZ Charge: Tata has a very reliable network, mostly available in metro cities and highways. Charges price in ₹15-₹20 per kWh. (We cannot tell this price with certainty as it may change in the future.)
Ather Grid: Although it is for two-wheelers, it is also for four-wheelers in some selected locations.
ION Energy and Static: These are also upcoming networks which mainly provide fast chargers.
