About Ola

History:

With Ola, Bhavish Aggarwal revolutionised the ride-hailing industry in our nation two decades ago. Following its acquisition of the Dutch electric mobility startup Etergo, Ola Electric extensively redesigned the Etergo AppScooter, resulting in the Ola S1 Pro, which has much-increased performance, range, and features. On August 15, 2019, they unveiled their first electric scooter in India, and in the years that followed, it quickly grew to take a sizable portion of the market.

With the Ola Electric EV lineup, the company has since electrified the scooter market by introducing the S1 Pro, the company's first electric scooter, on August 15, 2019, and taking the lead in the market over the ensuing years.

Increasing footprints

The company’s Tamil Nadu manufacturing facility- the “FutureFactory,” is spread across 500 acres and can produce one crore electric two-wheelers annually. Based on high R&D and sophisticated engineering, Ola Electric plans to establish a wide network of 1 lakh charging infrastructure across more than 400 cities. To cater for the constantly increasing demand for Ola electric scooters, the business intends to increase its supplier units as well.

Expanding its footprint further, the company operates a “Gigafactory” for mass-scale cell manufacturing ensuring the supply of its EVs is in line with the demand. 

Ola Electric recently unveiled the MoveOS 4 specifications and debuted the Ola S1 X range along with the Ola S1 Pro Gen 2. Of more significance, the business also introduced the Roadster, Cruiser, Adventure, and Diamondhead supersport ideas for Ola electric bikes, which are expected to be launched soon, with the former three expected to debut at the end of 2024.
